SCHWIND ESIRIS
The ESIRIS is a state-of-the-art, sixth generation excimer laser that integrates the entire technological and applicational know-how of SCHWIND, a major German corporation well-known for the perfection of their excimer laser systems.
With a repetition rate of 200 Hz and a very small spot size of 0.8 mm, the ESIRIS provides ideal conditions for highly precise treatments.
The ultra fast eye tracker (330 Hz) follows eye movements within the world’s shortest reaction time of only a few milliseconds.
In combination with an ingenious algorithm of the SCHWIND Custom Ablation Manager software, the para-Gaussian spot provides for a very smooth corneal surface.
The ESIRIS can be used for multiple applications – from aspherical standard corrections to corneal and ocular wavefront treatments.
This allows the use of aberrometer-guided treatments that enable so-called "super-vision" treatment - allowing a final visual outcome measurably far better than the accepted "6/6" standard of "perfect" human vision.(This is also sometimes known as "eagle-vision").
